Join us on Zoom at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 for an exploration of the Lincoln family history and the Lincoln family’s photograph album. The Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection is the only collection in the world to have the contents of the Lincoln family photo album. The album has more than six hundred photographs, started by Mary Todd Lincoln and continued by the following three generations of Lincoln’s. Come discover a brief history of the Lincoln family and view a part of this vast collection.
Abbie Meek is a Senior Lincoln Librarian at the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. She has been passionate about history for over a decade, and in 2018, she received her BA in History from Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne. While obtaining her degree, she worked at Helmke Library, where she discovered a fascination with helping others research and access history. Abbie went on to pursue her Master’s in Library and Information Science at Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis, which she obtained in 2022. Since joining the Rolland Center, Abbie has helped manage the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, led guided tours, curated engaging exhibits, created educational resources, and helped inquiring minds explore the renowned collection to discover Abraham Lincoln’s life and times.
